Ever dream of being on stage? This class is your first step! Over six weeks, we'll dive into the basics of acting through super fun games and activities. Learn to express yourself, create characters, and work as a team. Get ready to unleash your inner star! No experience needed, just bring your imagination and get ready to play!

Within this course the students will: 

  • Build  confidence

  • learn fundamental acting concepts

  • Gain script experience

  • HAVE FUN!

This workshop runs 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, and 2/28 from 10-11 at the Bowling Green Community Center

This workshop caps at 15 participants

This workshop will be led by Mattie O’Lasky.

Mattie O’Lasky graduated from Ashland University with a Musical Theatre Major and Religion minor. While spending her time at AU, she performed in seven productions, and also had the opportunity to stage manage and direct. Since graduating in December of 2023, Mattie has been a private vocal coach in the area, and loves working with her students. She also has assisted with All Shook Up at Liberty Benton high school, choreographed Finding Nemo Jr at Waterville Playshop, stage managed Something Rotten at Fort Findlay Playhouse, performed as Lily St. Regis in Annie, and music directed The Big Bad Musical with HYT! Mattie is dedicated to fostering creativity and helping students find their unique voice. Mattie centers on building a supportive and challenging environment where students can explore their love for the arts!
