Creating Character Through Physicality: Chekov Technique

$125.00

This workshop is open to students 13+

This workshop will introduce young performers to the basics of Chekov Technique - a means of using physicality the way we move our bodies through space to create character and emotion. By breaking down the elements of performance - voice, movement, and space - will help actors become more intentional with how they perform different emotions, getting them out of their heads and back into the physical space.

Course Objectives:

  • Counter the usual acting process established by Stanslavski

  • Explore acting through voice, movement, and space

This course will take place on 1/24 from 1-5 at the Bowling Green Community Center.
