This is a class for kids who want to get started with theatre. We will go through the process of putting on a play, from audition to performance; we will play theatre games, and we will choose a story to perform in a showcase on our last day, March 5. We’ll begin with audition preparation to prepare you for auditions for our Festival of Shorts, which will be held on Sunday and Monday, January 23 and 24, 2022. The Festival of Shorts consists of short one-act plays that were written a few years ago by children and youth, and will be encored this winter. The rehearsals for these plays will happen during the same weeks as our class and will perform March 11-13. We will be able to use class time to discuss and find answers for any questions that may occur to you during rehearsal. By then, you will have completed two performances, our Showcase, and the Festival of Shorts.
