Ever had an interest or appreciation in the costume aspect of theatre but never had the opportunity to try it before? Experience what it takes from start to finish for a costume designer to outfit actors for an entire production. No prior costume design or sewing experience required. Workshop includes on-site tour of Costume Holiday House facility. Special Note: The class on Tuesday, July 24 will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Costume Holiday House facility. We will arrange carpooling to and from this site.
Christina Hoekstra is a BGSU alumn with a BAC in Theatre. She has had an interest in costumes since she was very young, and started learning to sew at the age of 11. She began costume designing in 2010 and has worked with BGSU Elsewhere Productions, BGHS, Lionface Productions, Black Swamp Players, and Horizon Youth Theatre. She currently works as the Theatrical manager of Costume Holiday House, pulling and accessorizing costumes for High Schools and theatres all over the country.
HYT’s Summer Workshops are supported in part through the generous support of the Bowling Green Community Foundation.
